SAFETY FIRST: Leighton Offshore Achieves Over Two Years Operations Lost Time Injury Free

Leighton Offshore CEO Boyd Merrett has recognized the achievement of more than two years lost time injury free (LTIF) operations for the company since the last LTI on 29th October 2011.
 

This is comprised of over 10 million Man-hours LTIF across multiple offshore projects in the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia. 

Mr Merrett said “ This achievement is a safety milestone which all of Leighton Offshore should be proud and shows our strong safety leadership culture across the business and all of our projects. 

This is also a practical demonstration of our core value of providing a safe and healthy workplace for all of our staff” 

In this financial Year 2013 so far, Leighton Offshore has achieved over 3.8 million Man-hours LTI Free, across projects in Iraq, Singapore, Qatar, Tanzania, Indonesia and the corporate offices in Malaysia and Dubai. 

Mr Merrett added “ We will continue to implement our Strive for Life Program including project safety walks by all members of senior management to continue to drive our safety culture.
